Do you think this advert is on bad taste?
Personally I find this advert funny, in my opinion it is aimed at adults as what they are talking about, older people would understand it whereas children wouldn't. What is good about this advert is that the girl that had disabilities doesn't mind having a joke about her disability and enjoys talking about it and having a laugh with her friends over it. This adverts shows us that even though she has a disability see can still have fun with her friends. Why do you think maltesers have used a disability in this way? I think that maltesers have use a girl with disabilities as the audience are more likely to remember the advert. The audience will remember the advert with the disabled girl and will talk about it. This also shows the audience that 'anyone' can eat maltesers no matter their ability. Does the context of this advert make the audience uncomfortable because its out of our understanding and norm? I think that people will be uncomfortable with this advert because of what they are talking about. Most people aren't comfortable with talking about sex publicly and when they hear it being talked about on tv they have to watch it. |

What is company behind the advert saying about themselves?
This advert is saying they will no longer sell palm oil as it has a large impact on the rainforest and animal habitats. Which techniques are being used by the makers? The advert uses pathos as they want the audience to feel bad for buying products that contain palm oil. The advert also uses transfer as it uses negative images whilst talking about how palm oil effects the rainforest and orangutang's. |
